Northern Vancouver Island

is home to the largest, and the most densely populated area for bears in the region. They tend to be larger and more abundant due to the rich environment they habituate.

Coastal Black Bear hunts

with North Island Guide Outfitters take place during Spring using spot and stalk methods.

Our hunts are a 5 - day fully guided one on one hunt.

Our guests will be teamed up with one of our guides for a wonderful adventure. The vast hunting area is home to a very high percentage of mature boars. With the number of sightings and stalks the hunter will have more opportunity in being selective in the bear they wish to harvest.

Our hunts are fully guided

one on one hunts, and each hunter will be teamed up with one of our professional guides for a wonderful adventure. It is not uncommon for hunters to see up to forty bears or more throughout their hunt, allowing the hunter to be selective on their bear of choice.

There is no more exciting way to hunt black bears

than traversing the beautiful coastal terrain, seeing a multitude of mature boars, and having the adventure of a lifetime.

Spring Black Bears

are spotted feeding on the new growth of vegetation along old logging roads, clear-cuts and river mouth estuaries.
